About Tisdel Productions
Festival and live music curation is best when many factors are considered together… pace, flow, energy and vibe. For the past 25 years, Brad Tisdel has helped create these music experiences with and for the Sisters Folk Festival, and recently Big Ponderoo Music + Art Festival, a new co-created festival going into its fourth year in 2026.
At the heart of it, Brad is community-minded and keeps the whole of the experience in mind. For over two decades the flow of Sisters Folk Festival has been an “All the Town’s a Stage” approach, at times with 11 stages over the expanse of downtown Sisters, Oregon. Big Ponderoo has been distilled into two stages, one venue, and music back-to-back for two days in the beautiful Village Green Park. A free community concert takes place the evening before the festival for the community, patrons and families to enjoy.

Tisdel approaches event production from both the musicians’ perspective (a singer, songwriter and recording artist himself) and seamless, professional event production. From prior to the artists’ arrival, to sound check and the moment they step off the stage, artists are given a platform to allow their artistry to shine in the best way possible. From the nuance of well-crafted lyrics for listening audiences to enjoy, to high-energy performances from bands who have worked to hone their live show, both types of performances are given ample space.
Tisdel Productions works to develop the best in artistic expression through curating concerts and music festivals with community and audience impact.
Creativity Connects Community
Brad contributed to the Sisters Folk Festival’s capital campaign, Connected by Creativity, which secured the Sisters Art Works building and adjacent land—establishing the foundation for the stage and venue at Sisters Art Works. As Executive Director from 2008 to 2014, he helped grow the festival from two stages to eleven throughout downtown Sisters, OR. His passion for live music, cultural expression, and community connection continues to guide his work with others in similar endeavors.
